In A Holding Pattern...

My latest attempt at vegetable gardening here in the Piedmont has met with some success and (of course) some faliures.  We'll analayze the spring garden another day.

Whats' got me in a pickle is that I'd really like to have a fall garden.  Which means I need to start a fall garden at some point.  (Just like this spring... it's all a matter of timing.)  When to start?

This is what we're looking at for the next 10 days. The lows are great..it's the killer highs.  (Anyone catch that 100 degrees on Friday?)

Perfect weather for starting little babies.  (insert sarcastic tone here)

Yee Freakin Haw... I was hoping to get the ball rolling this weekend but...

Hmmpmh... Too hot to germinate any seeds...I could always buy some plants (broccoli, cauliflower)...hope for an extended fall...cold frame for sure....

Or just put the kibosh on the whole thing and just build up the beds and soil.

(Nah...Momma didn't raise no wussie)  Besides, nothing ventured...nothing gained.

Hmmpmh....
