Comfort Is...

Here in the Piedmont of North Carolina, winter has finally come.

When it's cold outside I really appreciate the comfort of my blankets...

and my fuzzy socks...notice the multiple layers.

Our lap warmer kitty.

Yankee Candles.

Our first handmade ornament. (Our thumbprints on a disc of wood.)

Our 24 year old artificial Christmas Tree.  Hasn't changed much, just a new ornament here and there.

And this....my 25 year old comforter.  I found this while on a shopping spree at a JC Penny outlet store with my soon to be sister-in-laws.  I snagged it first...(yeah me).  I've never had a comforter before.  They are amazing.

When you are cold beyond belief it warms you toasty in moments.  And just when you'd think it would be too warm under there, it somehow manages to disperse the heat so you're not sweating.

I have been sleeping so good under it lately.

What brings you comfort in the winter?

  1. My flannel quilt! I always look forward to snuggling up under it.

And as for the Yankees, I love Home for the Holidays.

  2. Feather comforter. Warm sunny days in the SW. And if still cold a cup of hot chocolate with a splash or two of Ameratto.

  3. A cozy fire in the woodburning stove and a kitty on my lap!
