Ice, Ice, Baby

The dogs didn't care for this one bit, I can tell you that.

Power stayed on all night.  I spoke to SM about installing a woodstove.  He didn't say no. (grin)

Another day off.  Nobody's going anywhere anytime soon.  Reports are that south of us has had 7+ inches and on top of that 1/4 inch of ice.

(Leigh..If you read this, I'm thinking about you.  I can only gather you guys got nailed big time.)

  1. Geesh! Do you have your ice skates on??? That looks horrible!

    Be careful Tami!

  2. Yuck Yuck. Thank goodness you don't have to go anywhere. Time to hunker down. You can take bets on how long the dogs can hold their pee :)

  3. The photos are eerie, yet fantabulous! I can't believe the weather you're getting in N.C. Is this normal? Our daughter, her husband and the two munchkins are in Chapel Hill and not used to this crazy weather at all...they are California kids!

Hunker down, stay warm and get that wood stove: I think you're looking at the new *normal*.

  4. Yup, we got 7 & 1/2 inches of snow and a quarter inch of ice. I appreciate the good thoughts! We didn't lose power either, but I have to tell you, our wood burning stove makes the place wonderfully warm and cozy. :) Beautiful photos.
