Know Your Enemy

He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot will be victorious.  The Art Of War - Sun Tzu

I tried.

I really did.  But in the end, I have to acknowledge defeat.

My enemy?

My weapons?

Mask, sunglasses, Claritin, eye drops for itching and eye drops for rinsing.

It was horribly windy today.  But the sun was out, the ground was dry and I wanted to get another load of compost in the raised bed.

After about 2 hours, I went in and asked SM to finish up for me.
I just couldn't take it.

SM on the other hand is indestructible.  Not only does he have a cast-iron gut and can eat everything and anything...(I'm SO jealous of that)...The man can filter through pollen like it's just another day.

He even asked if he could do anything else he could do for me.  What a sweet guy!

Double Dig!!!  Go for it, Baby.

  1. I so feel your pain. I have a whole host of horrid allergies too. And so do both my dogs! We are a houseful of misery. At least your getting some sun.

  2. Jane - I wipe the dogs down with a damp cloth, more for me than for them. Ginny is on Clemastine and fish oil. If she wasn't she'd just be one big pink itch, poor baby.
