Peas and Lettuce

Some of the shelling peas are almost ready.  Getting fatter...

A few more days, I think.

The snow peas are also coming along.  I picked some last night and steamed them with butter, salt and pepper.  Yum.

And the lettuce..."My God, the lettuce!!!!!  Oodles and oodles of lettuce!  I'm eating it 2-3 times a day.  I still can't get SM to eat a salad for breakfast though...

  1. Lucky you to have your peas that far along! I can just taste the snow peas....yum!

Isn't it amazing how much lettuce one gets in the garden? I always try not to plant too much, since there is only so much lettuce two people can eat.

  2. I eat a lot of salads but what would one put in a breakfast salad?

  3. Hmmmm Eggs, Bacon & Crouton's would be a good choice for a breakfast salad but what would you use for a dressing. Your grandma used to make a hot bacon dressing that was delicious.

  5. Love the peas! Mine rarely make it to the house-but yea, butter--now we're talking! Might have to actually cook some of my peas!
