This One's For You Mom...

Never let it be said that I can't bend my house rules for my guests.

SM's brother Ronnie and his wife Connie are here for a brief "stop over" on their way back home to Ohio after staying at their time share in Florida this past month.

My house rule that our thermostat stays at 64 or below has been broken this weekend.  It's a tropical 70 degrees in my house this morning.  It's a frigid 20 degrees (real feel 13) outside right now.

This one's for you Mom.  If you ever do come for a visit during Winter, you'll know that I will (at least) raise the temperature to 70 degrees.

It's the least I can do.

Love....

  1. LOL!! This is so cute.
My neighbor-Crotchety Dolores-always says she doesn't come around because we keep the house like an icebox. See?---a hidden benefit. And I thought it was just to keep the heating costs reasonable. But, we don't want to keep away the Good guests.
    Have a great weekend!
(I would just DIE in 70 degrees now--too used to mid 60's)

  2. I have the opposite, I cook the guests out in the summer. No A/C or fans makes some people very cranky. Even when I tell people a good sweat is great for detox, they still dont find it that charming ;)

  3. Well, 64 is a bit chilly for me -- We're at 67 and even then, I sometimes give it a boost around sunset when the heat from the sun fades.

    Love the picture!!!

  5. No, Mom wouldn't appreciate it. I had my sweatshirt on and the windows closed until the temp got to 85 inside. I haven't got any body heat anymore. BRRRRR guess I won't be coming to your house.

    Love Mom
