You Can't Fool Mother Nature

It's April 12th.

Our last frost date is April 15th.

3 more days to go and guess what Mamma N tossed our way?  Yep, frost and freeze warnings for last night and tonight.

It looks like a ghost town around here.

We covered up everything that we felt could get zapped.  Old sheets and towels sure come in handy don't they?  The veggies got covered of course, and the grape vines.

The fruit trees don't have any blooms on them, just leaves, so SM thought they should be fine.

Several years ago we has a hard freeze that killed back some of the crepe myrtles.  Hopefully this won't be so bad.

  2. Mother Nature knows best, and in her grand scheme of things all will be revealed in time. Pity we can't synchronize our clocks / requirements with her...

  3. I am waiting patiently or trying to at least for our last freeze date in a few weeks. Garden still needs tilling and the existing plants, berries need to have their area cleaned up. Can't wait to plant!

  4. This is especially hard to take considering the warm (hot?) weather Ma Nature has given us earlier this season! Hope all turned out well for you.
