I've got absolutely nothing to say other than "It's hot...Damn hot!" (79 degrees at 6am!!!! What the freak!)
I thought I'd tag onto Punkin's Patch and offer up some cool relief with Winter pictures from the past.
Maybe if we ALL think cool thoughts we get through these last 2 days without throwing ourselves face first into a half gallon of our favorite ice cream.
Come to think of it that might be the only way to cool off!
What does your favorite ice cream flavor say about you!
Me? Bryers Natural Vanilla. Oh yeah! I'm a simple gal...
Oh thank you for those wintery pictures. Those, and a gallon of ice cream should just about do the trick. :) Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteI've noticed we've eaten ice cream EVERY day since the heat hit.
ReplyDeleteI've also noticed the SCALE hitting new highs since the heat hit.
I did not know hot weather puts on pounds.
It is the weather, right?????
Stay cool.
And watch out for that scale.....
According to weather.com it was 109 degrees in our area yesterday. Good grief!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sue, I had no idea that heat put on the pounds like it does. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my increased consumption of ice cream.
Btw, I love the new photo of the garlic hanging on the fence. It's lovely.
LOVE your winter, cool-off pictures! I did actually feel cooler just looking at them.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck, I'm all for throwing myself face first into a half gallon of ice cream. I have no energy to do anything else.
The snowy photos were wonderful. I'm sitting here reading my blog list with a bowl of homemade white peach ice cream...wish I could send some your way: delicious!
ReplyDeleteOpening up the freezer and trying to figure out how to get my whole body in it!To heck with the ice cream LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteI made vanilla ice cream this week just because it has been so darned hot. I had not made ice cream in over 20 years. It was the hot weather's fault :)
ReplyDeleteLisa
Oh yeah, I've been shovelling down the ice cream this week. Not good for the ole diet, but it sure tastes good. I like the vanilla kind with raspberry sherbet swirled in. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteoh, some chocolate mint ice cream would be mighty good about now!
ReplyDeleteYou guys all make me laugh...Thanks for all the comments.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that snow felt good! It was 80 degrees here at 7:45 this morning, now it's 100 in the shade, but that's 9 degrees lower than today's forecast. I'm getting ready to dig into a big bowl of home made chocolate ripple coffee ice cream. stay cool!
ReplyDeleteMy fav was something they called Monkey something or other.... banana ice cream, with chocolate cups containing peanut butter...does this mean I am a complicated gal? mmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
well y'all could send us about 10 degrees of that heat here in the Bay Area. Another cool summer. My tomatoes still don't have any color but my cucumbers are doing great this year... they were a bust last year. As for ice cream... I'm about to dig into some "Three twins organic bitter sweet chocolate" Nothing bitter about it. Very mild and creamy. OK I need to go get a bowl now.... and for a cooling thought the temp out side right now is 74 with a light breeze.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to swap weather with you Liisa. 74 sounds like heaven!
ReplyDeleteOoooooooooooooooh, I feel cooler already!
ReplyDeleteIf I could eat ice cream, it would be mocha pecan. Two of my favorites together-yum!
